Well, I missed posting over the weekend. Boo! My intentions were good…it just wasn’t gonna happen. My husband and I had a much-needed night together Friday while Faith was at a sleepover. We went camping (or at least meant to! :)), but it was a REALLY chilly night and at a midnight we got in the truck, headed to the grocery store, got pizza and ice cream and went home to watch Last Man on Earth! You know what?? It was WONDERFUL! The next day we camped as a family. It got almost as chilly at night but not quite as bad as Friday, and we made it all night. In between camping outings, I managed to pick up my Bountiful Basket, made applesauce in the crock pot (needed to happen asap because I had so many apples!), and I finally learned to use a power saw!
Aside from all that, time was spent getting groceries for camping, packing things up, tearing it all down, putting things away and going to church. Then laundry. Lots and lots of laundry. And truth be told, we were just so tired from being out in the cold and not sleeping quite long enough, so motivation was really tough to come by. Sometimes you have to know when to let it go…and this weekend organizing and the blog had to be let go for family time and getting some other things done.
So it’s catch-up time! One of my basement list items was to organize the freezers, and since we have a lot of food we need to eat up, I decided to get going on that next. Unfortunately, the upright was in dire need of defrosting, so that had to happen before I could do much organizing. So I emptied the contents to the two fridge freezers, and started the defrost process. It’s nearly done, but since I teach Jazzercise tonight and had to work on my set, it’s not looking like I’ll get to do much before tonight. 🙁 So much for trying to catch up a few posts today!
I will get back on track asap. In the meantime, I wanted to share that I just joined Truly Organic Foods’ affiliate program! I have been increasingly eating more organic food, and am always looking for places to conveniently get a variety of healthy, real food and organic products. I’m excited for this partnership! When you click on the link and order through this or any of my affiliate programs, I get a small commission from your purchase. These sponsorships help support me working this blog, which otherwise is a volunteer gig! 😉 So thank you in advance for checking out their site and supporting me and Truly Organic!
More on freezer organization tomorrow!
