Faith’s 7th birthday is coming up next week, and she wanted a Frozen birthday party (of course!). For her invitations I had an idea that involved getting her photo taken in her Elsa dress that we got from Etsy. Getting this done has been such a struggle, but we finally squeezed it in yesterday (thanks to her being home sick!), so now I just have to upload and complete the invite. Here are some of the pics from our little “photo shoot”! She started out a little lost and stiff, but once I started singing, “Let It Go”, it was ON!
I deleted some but there are several more…now to figure out which one to use! Hopefully I’ll figure out a way to make my “vision” for these invitations happen!
As busy as I’ve been with Jazzercise preparations and my normal daily cray-cray, I have been finding myself “letting go” of my big plans and dreams for this birthday party. For one, Faith’s at an age where she has some of her own ideas, and this bloggy mom who wanted to post a fantabulous-Frozen-birthday-party-like-no-one-has-ever-seen realized she needs to step back and let her daughter make some choices. It’s tough because I love doing these themed parties and I know we won’t be able to do them much longer, but I suppose it IS her birthday! 😉 And secondly, since my schedule’s been so busy, I’m finding myself reeeeaaaalllly simplifying from what I normally do for the sake of time (or lack there-of). I even bought Frozen themed plates, cups and a tablecloth. (Cue the violins.) Soooooo not me but it’s making things a lot easier and come next Saturday I think I’m going to breathe a huge sigh of relief that I didn’t try knocking myself out over yet another birthday party. I’ll be sure to post pics after it’s all said-and-done!
Now off to my huge to-do list!!!
