I started blogging in 2011 after a suggestion from my aunt,Carol, author of Amazon best-seller, The Intention Project. At the time I had no idea what a blog really was, let alone an idea to start one. But I took her advice, and I loved it. Initially my blog was called Projects and Princesses, and later Addicted to Organizing. After some consistent…and then inconsistent…blogging, as well as some encouragement from a friend (also named Crystal) to pursue my dream of organizing as a career, I revamped the blog, created a new business name, and started My Blissful Space in January of 2013.
There are a few “key players” that you will find me referencing often in my blog posts. My husband, Brad, is
hot and I’m not sharing my right-hand man with projects. In fact, I couldn’t do many of my projects without his knowledge of construction and skill with power tools! He is my love and the reason I get to stay at home and do what I love, and it’s my goal to build my business so that he can pursue his own dreams. Our daughter, Faith, is my mini-me, yet her own individual. While a budding organizer herself, she is not the princess-loving, aspiring cheerleader that I was at her age. Rather, she has her own sporty style, loves gymnastics and peace signs, and has made me rethink my dislike of collecting stuffed animals. She does share my love of chocolate and shopping, and joins me frequently on “girl days” with The Bestie, Kim, and her daughter, Mya. You will also hear me talk a lot about Kim. She has been a
second sister to me and we go waaaayyyy back…like 1st grade back. She helps me proof things for My Blissful Space occasionally, is my sounding board for all things blog or otherwise, is a huge constant in my life…and she’s my favorite companion at Whole Foods!
