|Faith – last day of school and her birthday!|
Today is my daughter’s 7th birthday, and after her party tomorrow I think (…hope…pray!) things are going to slow down a bit again. I apologize for posting so little and so rarely lately, and when I have I haven’t even had many projects to share because there just hasn’t been time to do anything. We had a few weeks where we (or I, at least) had a lot of evening commitments/errands, and when that happens it just zaps the last bit of energy I have after a long day with kiddos. Especially when it’s night…after night…after night. I think that stuff will calm down now for a while, and I can reclaim my schedule a bit. School is out as of today, so no more school runs with all the kids, which will gain me some time at home and hopefully make our days feel less rushed. We’re ready for some summer fun!
Projects are a-comin’, they are! Faith’s party is tomorrow, and though I reeeeeaaaaalllly scaled back this year to give her what SHE wanted and to give myself a break from what otherwise would have become one more drain on my energy and time, I will share pics on Monday. I hope to use some weekend time to do at least one organizing project. We’re painting kitchen cabinets over Memorial weekend and I can’t wait! (Well, I can’t wait for the result, anyway. The prep and sanding doesn’t sound so fun.) I also have hopes of making a summer wreath and changing out my “mantle” shelf for summer in the upcoming weeks. So stay with me…I’m trying to regain some normalcy and get back on my normal blogging schedule!
