Happy Thanksgiving!!! I hope this post finds you enjoying family and friends and some delicious food. We will be going from one family celebration to the other, with just a day in between at home. Most of our time at home will be spent decorating for Christmas, which I intended to do a week early this year but just ran out of time. I started on the porch and have some more ideas for it, so hopefully soon I can share that and a home tour. I’m pretty excited so far!
But for today, and the rest of the weekend, I plan to enjoy family and friends. I will be Black Friday shopping (which now is Thanksgiving evening shopping…grrr). As much as I want to boycott the premature store openings, I made plans with my friend, Sara, and it’s more about the time together and the fun adventure of shopping (more fun early in the morning) than it is about racing to the best deals.
Today is for focusing on our blessings, and I am thankful to have so many. I’m thankful that despite all the driving ahead, we have family to travel to see. I’m thankful that despite the long shopping lines, I am able to purchase gifts for those I love. I’m thankful that despite the pounds I’m about to inevitably put on, that we have bountiful food and a warm home (and Jazzercise class the next day to work it off!). 😉 And know that I am so thankful for YOU! This growing blog and business make me feel super blessed!
I pray that your Thanksgiving and every day are also filled with blessings, and that if things don’t feel so blessed right now, that God blesses you into the Christmas season and the new year.
