We’re onto day 3 of Baby Week! First the shower, now onto the nursery! This is my best friend’s new baby girl’s room. I wish I could take credit for the decorating, but aside from some inspiration and a little advice and hand-holding (and a little joint shopping ;)), Kim did this one all on her own!
I’ll give some close-ups hopefully tomorrow of specific organizing things and individual DIY projects in the room, but for now wanted to just share some general room photos. Kim took these and sent them…haven’t had a chance to get over there for pics!
The stripe wall was a big wish-list item for Kim, and she designed and painted that all on her own. She did a fantastic job and I love the colors. Kim commissioned her mom to make the crib bedding and she picked out the fabric herself. You can’t see it in these photos, but the coral and yellow wavy stripe fabrics have little turquoise blue flecks/dots in them.
We found the sign above the crib and the ruffly poms at Hobby Lobby while shopping one day, as well as the coral and grey chevron magnet board above the cabinet. We got so excited to come upon an entire aisle with all of her colors!
The room has lots of fun DIY’s and organizing tools which I’ll share more (hopefully) tomorrow, including the handmade mobile above the changing table and that super cute chevron pegboard! The rocker is a temporary fixture and was Kim’s husband’s grandmothers, but she’s found a more comfortable option that will be purchased in place of it. The coral side-table was a furniture make-over by our friend, Jess, at Blue Hydrangea Furniture, and the pouf was an online purchase (Overstock.com, maybe??).
I can’t wait to share all the little close-up details with you!!!
