I debated how to wrap up this series. I still want to talk about planning for the holidays, have several organizing projects I didn’t get to, and various other things to share. But I decided that when things get busy, the one thing that tends to get pushed to the back-burner is our own health and well-being. When we don’t rest and don’t take care of ourselves, everything else suffers and will only wind up getting in the way of all the things we’re trying to get done. I’m not very productive or blissful when I’m exhausted or sick, and guessing you can relate. So make sure that you add these things to your to-do list, and make them a priority:
1. Get plenty of rest
For me that’s a consistent 8 hours a night. Everyone’s different, but don’t let yourself believe that you can function (well) or be healthy on four hours of sleep. Mayo Clinic recommends 7-8 hours for an adult.
