Though it’s in the 80’s and humid here today, I am in full-swing fall mode! Bring on the cozy sweatshirts, caramel apples and a hot drink in a cute mug! Faith helped me start decorating for fall on Labor Day, but we have a ways to go. I won’t bring out Halloween decorations until October 1, and some of last year’s DIY’s didn’t survive storage, so between that and just wanting to change some things up a bit, I have some more searching or DIYing to do!
I thought I’d share what I have so far, though, and will follow-up as I add the rest. You’ll see some things that look unfinished…because they are.
1. Fall Foliage
I like to have seasonal silk flowers on hand because it makes seasonal updates so easy. This vase combined with taller silk stems add just the right amount of height on this end table to balance out the lamp and picture frame. Best part: It’s as easy as removing the spring/summer stuff and tossing in the fall! I just love this combination of stems that I found last year.
2. Just Add Pumpkins
I have several different styles of pumpkins that are perfect for fall because they work from now through Halloween and Thanksgiving. I’ll add some jack-o-lanterns in for Halloween, but having versatile pumpkins has been so nice from year-to-year. Don’t forget about real pumpkins, too!
This vignette isn’t quite complete, as you can see. I need a fifth…something…and plan to fill the lantern as well.
3. Are You Ready For Some Football??
I’m not a sports watcher but I do like an occasional fall football game. Just something about the cool weather, a heavy sweatshirt and a cup of cocoa while cheering on my favorite team that just screams fall. This wood football always feels bare to me alone, so I dress it up with a fall swag that otherwise might not have a place to go.
