Internet was finally back up and running this afternoon, but not until I’d lost most of the kids’ naptime to write. So, without further adieu, here we go (in shorthand!)…
The inspiration photo…
I don’t have a vanity, but thought this would be a great project for my dresser. (The other designers, as it turned out, did everything from similar displays as the photo, to serving trays, to a great tray for corralling office supplies! Links to all their projects can be found here.)
I found this tray at Goodwill for $2.99…
I also liked the idea of leaning a framed picture or art of some type against my mirror (as they did in the inspiration photo). I kept racking my brain for something I had in the house to use and was just sure I didn’t have a frame…and then I remembered a family photo from my grandma’s house that was in a black frame.
I would be the cute blonde in the front.
It was a great frame to use, and a little spray paint was all it took!
I recently bought some boxwood wreaths from Decor Steals and wasn’t sure what I was going to do with them (they weren’t quite as big as I thought). Perfect solution for one of them anyway!
See the pillows in the background (through the wreath in the mirror)? The green wreath and the blue frame tied everything together!
