Just as I thought we were going to make it through this year with hardly any illness, Faith and I both came down with colds last week and I, especially, was pretty miserable over the weekend. Naturally…because I had LOTS of plans. All those to-do’s that I wasn’t getting “to do” were going to get done last weekend. And then I got sick. Fortunately the weekend started and ended with enough energy to accomplish something, and I’ve had enough energy today that I’ve been just knocking that list OUT. Nothing like deadlines to get this girl movin’! I did, however, forget to move our elf. For the 2nd time.
My daughter gets very concerned when this happens, so we try not to let it happen. And today I realized I’m not the only one cussing out this tradition because of such situations. If you need some Monday humor, you should check out this post over at Handmade Home. Timely and refreshing!
Obviously I haven’t been doing any extra projects, then, so I thought I’d share these ornaments I made a couple weeks ago. Our Coffee & Crop group decided to decorate a tree at the coffee shop where we meet once-a-month for a craft night. Each of us were to make about five ornaments for the tree, and we decided on a red and turquoise color scheme. I got the idea to make felt coffee mug ornaments, and went to Pinterest for some inspiration. Time, as usual, worked against me, so plans got tweaked as time went on. I wound up deciding to make stuffed ornaments for a little more dimension, and used sequins glued on for embellishment.
