Staying on track with fitness and weight-loss goals is hard (says the girl who’s still struggling with sugar), but when I created a fitness journal a couple years ago, it was easier to stay on track and motivated! In upcoming Fitness Friday posts I’ll share some of my other favorite fitness tools as well.
I knew from past experience that writing down what I ate and when/how long I exercised helped keep me accountable and helped me see my progress. I also find that if I jot down how I feel each day, I can see trends on “bad days” and use that as a tool to come up with creative ways to counter those weak moments.
I made my own fitness journal from a Smash book two or three years ago. Those Smash albums looked so fun I just had to have some excuse to use one! They’re great because the pen is attached and includes a glue stick on the other end, and you can get stickers, tape, tabs, calendars and folders to customize it however you want. (I’ve seen Smash at about every craft/scrapbooking store and also Wal Mart.)
I have another Smash book that hasn’t really been used and I think it’s time I do another one of these!
