As I catch up on the blogs I follow, it appears I’m not alone in decorating for fall as soon as Labor Day hits. With the 90+ degree temps we’ve been having and the start of football season, it just puts me in the mood for cool days and the sights, smells and flavors of fall.
I got out most of my fall decorations the other day, but have quite a ways to go. It seems like lately I have WAY more projects than time. (Do you know that feeling??) I’m at a point where coming up with blog topics is no longer a challenge, and instead I have more than I can squeeze in and it’s just a matter of prioritizing and getting projects done to blog about! In addition to catching up on scrapbooking with a friend this weekend, I am also trying to wrap up my pegboard project, need to create a fall decoration for my red window, work on a fall porch vignette, and I also have some napkins I am planning to DIY! That’s not even counting all the furniture in my house that needs repainted (count 7!!!) and all the other things on my list! I also want to go through everything and declutter and reorganize. Whew! No wonder I’m too tired in the evenings to do anything…thinking about it all is exhausting enough!
I think it’s time for my 2nd cup of coffee.
That’s when I have to stop, take a deep breath, and tackle ONE.THING.AT.A.TIME. I have to remind myself that all the bloggers who are doing the projects I have planned before I have time to start them also don’t have daycare kids in their house 50+ hours a week. A lot of them have guest bloggers or a “team”. I have to put it all into perspective, relax, and (especially lately) just make sure I do SOMETHING.
So, here’s what I have done so far on the fall decorating…
The football and fall swag are two separate decorations, but I love how they look layered together.
