It’s Friday!!! This one came up fast (and yet, not fast enough). Finding bliss could be tougher this week as it’s been the beginning of one of my busiest times of the year. I have been scrambling to get things done and seem like I’m doing very little, but giving myself grace! If you were waiting for the 3rd in the monthly meal-planning series, it’s coming next week! 😉 Today, we’re going to find bliss even in the crazy weeks of life!
Last weekend we went up to see Brad’s grandparents and to hang out at the farm. It was a beautiful day and helped me let go of the fact that I wasn’t tacking my to-do list and that I had two big pimples on my face and that the week ahead was going to be busy. Instead, we breathed in the fresh air as we fixed fence (Faith and I mostly wandered but I did learn how to put the clips on). We went four-wheeler riding (Faith was driving…mostly…in the photo above). And my daughter got in touch with her country side, which made this mama’s heart happy.
Not only that, but my husband proved that picking up cow poop for your wife can be a romantic gesture. We’re doing a garden in the yard this year (it’s been a while since we have had one here), and I wanted it to be organic. Brad fought me a bit and he struggles with not doing things the way he knows to do them. But he gathered a couple mineral tubs and started filling those buckets without me even saying anything (I didn’t even think about it). I got in the Ranger and followed him around to haul the tubs, and even shoveled pies myself. 😉 You know what? It was GLORIOUS. (And he got shirtless, which mama also liked!)
This is going to be a short one today! I am baking cookies and about to get ready for work…it’s our Mother’s Tea today! Excited to celebrate the preschool mamas and head into another weekend! (Two weeks left of school…another reason to be blissful!!!) Have a good one, y’all! (That’s me tapping into MY country side. ;))
