While I get most excited about organizing and decorating, health, nutrition and fitness are also important to me and something I spend a fair amount of time reading about and trying to implement in my life, my family’s life, and that of my daycare kids. Occasionally I’ve shared homemade cleaners and healthy recipes, all in the name of better health. As I get closer to auditions to recertify as a Jazzercise instructor, the thought to do a regular health and/or fitness series has been something I’ve considered quite a bit.
I also considered doing a “Fashion Friday” series, but let’s be honest. I don’t buy clothes that often and I do daycare, so it’s not uncommon to find me in sweats with my hair in a messy bun! Maybe once-a-month this would be a possibility.
Auditions are a week from today, and considering I may not pass, I wondered if I should wait to start the series until after. Like I might jinx myself if I prematurely start a series on fitness. There I go self-sabotaging again! I’d like to think that since I taught Jazzercise before that these auditions are in the bag, but I’m training a lot faster than before, and wasn’t going to class as regularly last year as I was when I started this process a few years ago. As evidenced by my shin splints and sheer exhaustion, I could use more time. But I’ll push through and pray…a LOT…and hope for a successful outcome. And if things go awry, then I’ll keep working and try again next time. And in the meantime, I still get excited about health and fitness, and I can still start a blog series about it, even if I’m not an aerobics instructor. I’m so silly sometimes.
