I find something a tad wrong with the fact that it’s April 18th and I’m drinking hot cocoa. It is SNOWING here today…AGAIN. We keep thinking this is the last time, but I sense an evil laugh and Mother Nature saying, “Not yet, my pretties!!!”. It’s tough to get motivated to do much of anything, but even tackling a tiny organizing project each day makes a big difference in the long run.
With myself, our daughter, and five daycare girls, this house tends to be very girly! With girls comes girl “stuff”, like hair ties and bows, barrettes, make-up and the lot. One thing that drives me a little crazy is trying to sift through a pile of hair stuff to find the one style/color/size I want. Though I already had our hair stuff pretty well organized, I knew there were a lot of things in our containers that weren’t used and wouldn’t likely ever be used, and just caused frustration every morning when getting ready. So, when I went to label the plastic drawers I store this stuff in, I decided it was also time to go through the contents. (Just when I thought there was no work to be done in the bathroom anymore!)

I keep her larger bows in her room on this bow organizer I made:
The drawers that I keep my things in were sorted fairly well, so the main thing was to make Faith’s drawer easier to find things. I wanted a way to corral her ponytail holders so that it’s easier to see what’s there and to keep things from becoming a jumbled mess. I decided to use a bag clip from my kitchen, and it worked pretty well! (I’ve also seen this done with a carabiner.)
