I find something a tad wrong with the fact that it’s April 18th and I’m drinking hot cocoa. It is SNOWING here today…AGAIN. We keep thinking this is the last time, but I sense an evil laugh and Mother Nature saying, “Not yet, my pretties!!!”. It’s tough to get motivated with weather like this, but even tackling a tiny organizing project each day makes a big difference in the long run.
As with any organizing project, I started out emptying and deciding what was worth keeping and what needed to go. Faith has received some hair things for gifts, but we typically use just ponytail holders and bigger bows for her hair, so I decided the rest could be bagged up for our garage sale or put into the daycare cubbies for days that one of my other girls needs a new “do”.
I keep her larger bows in her room on this bow organizer I made using ribbon and an old picture frame:
The drawers that I keep my things in were sorted fairly well, so the main thing was to make the items in Faith’s drawer easier to find. I wanted a way to corral her ponytail holders so that it’s easier to see what’s there and to keep things from becoming a jumbled mess. I decided to use a bag clip from my kitchen, and it worked pretty well! (I’ve also seen this done with a carabiner.)
