…for all the times I started a post with “I’m still here!” or “thought I’d check in since I’ve been MIA”…and I’m about to do it again. Geesh. Well, that’s me. The busy girl who’s trying and will keep trying. Anywho, here’s what I’ve been up to!
A couple weeks ago I had another something-every-night kind-of-week, which culminated with the birth of my new nephew at 35 weeks, 4 lbs 6.9 oz, and might-I-add, super sweet and adorable. It took my sister and her hubby around 24 hours to name him, which being the planning kind, drove me cray-cray. (How dare they make me wait?! lol) They decided on Oliver William and I love it! He’s still in the NICU but doing well and hopefully will be home by this weekend.
After that busy week I had a week of “free” evenings to catch up somewhat, but without good daylight to take pics I didn’t get photos for the blog posts that I have planned to write. I was pretty productive but there’s just never enough time in the day, am I right?! I also failed to get pics this weekend when I was around, which admittedly was minimal. I DID get to go to Costco and Target with The Bestie sans children. I’m not sure when grocery shopping became such a treat but it was. #momsgonewild #twohourseachstore #starbucksdoesnthurt #bestdayever
I had planned to do some blog work last night but after teaching Jazzercise and having supper with my family (ribs made on my hubby’s new Traeger grill…OMGoodness, delicious!), I decided we should take advantage of the hour our daughter is at dance and have a walking “date”. Our date nights got pretty few-and-far-between this summer and this will give us a little couple time without having to pay a sitter, and our regular one left for college this fall, so this is a good alternative (and we don’t need to be spending extra right now anyway).
Tomorrow I have the day off work to join my daughter on a field trip, and I’m excited for this one! I hope to start working on a dresser makeover for Oliver tomorrow evening and will be sharing that project on the blog when it’s done. I still need to get Faith’s room makeover on here, too, as well as a fall home tour!
In the meantime, I have some exciting news to share! My Blissful Space was featured on ColoradoSpaceSolutions.com with 29 other amazing organizing bloggers! You can check it out here! I always feel so honored by things like this!
