This month, I think yesterday or today to be exact, marks my four year anniversary of My Blissful Space! Four years ago, a dear friend encouraged me to pursue what I love, and my blog transformed and my business began, and My Blissful Space was its name. I have learned so much and things have grown (albeit slowly) in the first few years. Last year still had growth but I let myself get too busy and I didn’t get to devote nearly as much time here as I would have liked. Which is why my word-of-the-year is START. I know that if I really want to, if I’m dedicated and intentional, that I can find time were it seems like there is none. I just need to START.
And that’s what I’ve been doing! I got up at 5:00 am again today. No excuses even went through my head, no proddings to return to my warm bed. (I wanted to, believe me, but the thought of the disappointment I would feel if I did was stronger than that urge.) What a great feeling!
Yesterday I shared some office updates, including changes to my pegboard, the addition of a vision board, and my new daily routine. I ran out of time to post the printable version of the daily routine for you, but I’m sharing it with you now!
Why create a visual daily routine? Why do you need to remind yourself what you need to do each day? Well, some things you don’t. You’ll shower, brush your teeth, and comb your hair all on your own (we hope ;)) because you developed that habit as a child. Like any habit, it takes several days and weeks to “stick”, and like any goals, writing it down helps you to actually achieve it. What I’m giving you here is a pretty place to write down what you WANT to accomplish each morning and evening to help you keep on top of your bigger goals.
Below are two options, one in landscape and one in portrait mode (horizontal and vertical). Depending where you plan to put it, one may work better than the other. It’s totally your preference. I included 10 spaces for am and 10 for pm and stopped there because if you start to list too many things, it becomes too difficult to consistently do, day after day. Plus it just looks overwhelming!
With that said, I didn’t break down things that I do naturally, like brushing my teeth, putting on my essential oils, etc. I do have one spot for showering and getting ready, so it’s broad enough to cover all of those things. Basically I wanted to include those things I REALLY need and want to accomplish in the couple hours I have in the morning before going to work, and the few hours in the evening after work. I want to work on the blog, I want to workout, I want to be sure to pack lunches, make supper, and have a chance to relax and read. You can decide what your prioritizes are and make your own daily routine! I have one in an 8×10 frame on my pegboard, and another taped to my bedroom mirror until I get into a good habit. Just click on the image of the orientation you want (vertical or horizontal), and it will take you to a printable PDF of the document to make your own! (The images are different size but the actual document will print 8 1/2 x 11…I cut mine to 8×10 to frame.) Thank you so much for being part of My Blissful Space!
