Yesterday I got my notebook and pen and started my house-wide organizing/project to-do list. I intend to go through the entire house and write down everything that needs organized, completed or fixed, and then I’d like to finish it all before Christmas break! That might seem like a big task (and maybe it is), but having a checklist to focus on and chipping away at it a little at a time should be really productive and manageable. I want to go into break able to relax and maybe scrapbook and sew with Faith as we intended last year but weren’t able to do. Instead, I spent half the time sick, and aside from Christmas celebrations was stuck reading books to finish up childcare in-service hours. Not. This. Year. I would also like to finally feel caught up so that I can BREATHE, be ready for my organizing clients, and enjoy free time. #whatsfreetime #iknow
Anyway, my list is far from complete but I had to put it on hold for bigger priorities…my sister gets married this weekend!! I’m so excited for her and am praying everything goes smoothly. They’ve worked so hard to get it all pulled together, and deserve a relaxing, happy weekend!
So today I’m packing up everything I need, which is quite a bit! Aside from the dresses and cowgirl boots (yeah, baby!), I have a very large gift, several decoration items, cake platters, tablecloths, a small crockpot…and I’m making cupcakes! After having the stomach flu a couple weeks ago I had to reschedule my hair appointment, so this evening will be busy getting a highlight and picking up the last few things I need to borrow from friends.
I also need to be ready to drop things off for the kids’ consignment sale when we return on Sunday, so I have a little final pricing to do. Whew!
I’m off to finish and hope to have lots of pictures to share next week, as well as my completed organizing list! 🙂
