Thanks to a heads up from my brother and my own unrelenting commitment to make this blog successful (despite my occasional insecure fears), I applied and was selected to review a product for a Mead Organizher organizing product! Honestly when I applied I thought, “not gonna happen…this blog is small potatoes compared to…”. But throughout this year I have refused to let my pre-judgements and fears get in my way, so I applied. Just. In. Case. And I am SO GLAD I did!
Inside the FedEx box was my gift, a flyer with their product line, and a card thanking me for reviewing their product and with details about when to post, etc. They’re also going to give one away to one of YOU…so be sure to read down to the end to enter!!!

I have not had success having a full monthly wall calendar in our home because it’s just difficult to maintain two calendars (my own planner plus a monthly family calendar), but I LOVE this style of weekly calendar! It takes no time at all on Sunday or Monday to jot down important appointments so that my hubby knows what’s going on for the week (and doesn’t have to keep asking, “What do we have planned for tonight?”).
The color is a neutral taupey-grey, so I think that it would work really well whether your walls are beige/brown or grey (or a color), and the orange stripe is minimal and adds a bit of masculinity so that even guys can use it. I would love to see the Reminder Center come in other colors…like aqua (I know you’re shocked)…or even all grey. I don’t have any orange in my home so of all the colors this could come in, this is probably one of my least favorite choices. Overall, however, the look feels neutral.
The dry erase weekly calendar coupled with the cork board make it more versatile than my vinyl fridge version from Martha Stewart. I can pin invitations, coupons or other important items that I don’t want to get lost in a folder right on the board. The attached marker holder is a great feature, too. While I’ve been happy with my vinyl calendar, I’m starting to notice that the dry erase is smudging the fridge (not ideal) and there’s not a handy spot to put my marker, so it sits on top of the fridge. The Reminder Center also looks more clean and sophisticated. (Plus the less on the fridge, the better.)

My biggest request for Mead would be to make the Reminder Center with seven days rather than five. While our family has several weekday activities that require coordinating schedules, the weekend can be the same situation. Since I love using this type of calendar to keep all of us aware of what the other has going on (or who needs to drive our daughter to swimming lessons or dance), it has become an important organizational feature in our home. Adding the weekend days would be super helpful!
The Reminder Center has saw-tooth hangers on the back so it can be hung anywhere. No dry-erase smudges on your fridge, either! If you really wanted it on your fridge, you could probably hang it with ribbon on an adhesive hook or use double-sided tabs directly to the fridge. (Think outside the box!)
