As I’ve mentioned this week, I am working on a command station. What I do know is that I want it to include:
- My daily routine checklist as well as a cleaning schedule, and more detailed daily schedule so that I don’t forget things like writing daycare notes, checking blog stats, or updating our budget binder.
- My new Organizher weekly calendar which I just gave a small facelift! (I’ll show you that tomorrow.)
- Some decorative elements so it’s not so “industrial” and office-y.
- A magnetic chalkboard, which I may incorporate Faith’s chore chart into. We keep forgetting to use her chore chart in the current location, so I may simplify it a bit and add it here. Makes sense to have our entire family schedule and to-do’s in one place.
This cutie from Shanty 2 Chic started the whole thing. I sent this to a friend who was expecting a baby, at the time thinking neither of us would really be “on board” with pegboard (on board with pegboard…I’m funny). But she loved it, and after a chevron transformation to her own, I did, too!

Here’s a similar idea. I love the wire baskets on the pegobard, as well as the decorative monogram and baseball glove. It makes something that otherwise would be appropriate in a garage into something cute enough for indoors.
As I mentioned, chevron really transforms a board. This one’s actually a bulletin board, but you can see how cute it would be on pegboard as well!
What can I say about this one except GREAT.STORAGE.IDEAS!!! From the acrylic paints on little shelves to the rolls of paper on rods and the hanging buckets. Someday this will be in my craft space!
