You’d think with all the spaces I organized and cleaned this weekend that I had some sort of Organizing Attention Deficit Disorder (OADD for the lay person), but in reality it was all part of a master plan! Here’s what I got accomplished:
- Now that I have only two daycare kids in diapers and only three (out of five) that nap, I decided I could do some shelf shuffling and remove one shelf from upstairs to free up space. In order to do that, a couple other things needed reorganized, mainly my built-ins in the living room.
- I decided to keep my Mary Kay business stuff and inventory downstairs as I’m focusing more and more on My Blissful Space. I am also working on finding homes for my organizing supplies (label maker, Washi tape, containers & recycled boxes, etc.). I didn’t finish this yet but got a lot done!
- While I was working in the hallway undoing the daycare cubbies, I decided to also sort through the built-in cupboard and drawers and see what could be done differently there. (Partially because I hope that will be Phase 2 in my closet demo dream plan…which I’m still trying to convince the hubby about.)
- I was so in love with the containers I got for garlic/onions and potatoes, that I ordered more to organize the fridge and got busy with that, too!
|Realized while posting this that my husband didn’t put the shredded cheddar back standing up. (Sigh.) I try so hard…|
Three large baskets perfectly fit on the bottom shelf. One has lunchmeat, refrigerated pizza crust and whatever else might not fit in another basket. The middle one is for cheese (same basket from above), and the third has mayo, pickles, and a couple other condiments.
