The other day I did my first Facebook live on my My Blissful Oily Space group page. I was nervous and didn’t plan a cute backdrop and my hair was in a messy bun. And I cried. I didn’t anticipate that at all, but I spoke my heart and talked about God leading me and I got emotional. It happens. I had something to share and I want to share it here, too.
I love my blog and I love organizing. I also love Young Living. And I work full time. I can’t do it all, and I don’t want to give up on my dreams. So I’m constantly trying to figure out how to balance, what else I can give up in order to focus on things that are more important, and what tasks I should focus on in the limited time that I have “free”.
Well, I continue to have this voice that tells me to do more with Young Living. Not only do I love the essential oils and the products, but I feel that with this company, I have the ability to help people. I can make people feel amazing. I can help them find wellness and hopefully avoid illness. And if they want to earn an income, that option is there, too. I started doing classes again this year, just a Facebook class or in-person class here and there. I enjoy doing them and want to do more, but I just couldn’t figure out how to do it. The blog is my main focus, and I didn’t want to let that go.
“I honestly think it is better to be a failure at something you love than to be a success at something you hate.” George Burns
But within the last month, a friend (and upline) in Young Living reached out to me and asked if I wanted to read a book. The book was called Gameplan, and it’s written by a Young Living Platinum member as a resource for other members. And she simplified the heck out of doing more with my business. It was as if God was saying, “Crystal, I’m telling you to do this and THIS is how you’re going to be able to do it.”
While all that was going on, my friends and fellow YL distributors were at convention, learning about some AMAZING new products that are just the very things I’ve been waiting for from Young Living! It was just the extra shove I needed.
“For every failure, there’s an alternative course of action. You just have to find it. When you come to a roadblock, take a detour.” Mary Kay Ash
Then it was time to figure out what to do with the blog and everything else. I decided the blog has to stay…I love it too much, and how else will I tell you about my latest organizing project or the latest Young Living products, or how I’m still trying to give up sugar and coffee (#failing)?!! I’ll just continue to fit the blog around my life, as opposed to the other way around, and my plans for completing the training I was working on will be adjusted and might take a backseat, at least for a while. (In reality the training was what was stressing me the most.)
I will also continue organizing for clients. I realized that not only do I enjoy organizing for other people (which I expected), but I am able to help people through organizing in ways that I didn’t expect. I’ve helped more than one client sort through belongings after a death in the family, and my presence, organizing support and friendship has been a source of comfort. I never saw that coming! If I can do things I love AND help others in the process, then I believe I have found my calling (callings ;)).
“Do one thing every day that scares you.” Eleanor Roosevelt
Making this decision felt so good…until I announced it on my Facebook live! Then the fear set in, and I was like, “WHAT did I just DO??”. All the doubts and fears about if I could do it and what if I fail and now everyone will know set in. But I’m not alone in this. God led me here, and I believe there’s a reasons for that. And there’s a quote, “If your dreams don’t scare you, they’re not big enough.” So I guess I’m on the right track. #doitscared

If you want to see the Facebook live video, you’re welcome to join my oily group page here! I think you’ll be seeing more live videos from me, and there may be a You Tube channel coming, too! (Maybe I’ll even do my hair next time. #yeahright)
I need your help!
I also have a favor to ask! Another first this week is my first survey! I want to know, what do YOU want to read about on My Blissful Space?? I’d appreciate you taking just a few minutes (it’s short!) to complete the survey here!
Thank you for your help with the survey, for your support of all my crazy dreams, and for being a reader! ❤
