1. Voices from the Ville
In case you missed the details (they are here), but I am officially a contributor on Kidville’s new blog, Voices from the Ville. The day after this was confirmed, my post was up on their site! Maybe it’s not that big of an accomplishment, but there’s something really exciting about being part of something bigger (than your own little piddly blog) and when I saw the company that I’ll be keeping, I was pretty proud to be part of it. I have my post done for May and just working on a title and photos! Be sure to follow! (Not that I won’t tell you EVERY. TIME.)
2. Second (First?) Guest Post
A few months ago a friend-of-a-friend and I met (via Facebook) and decided that I would guest post on her blog. This was quite a while before any thought of doing anything like the Ville blog, and I was so excited at the prospect of guest blogging! Sandra and I are both busy people, but we got things together, and my post on her blog also was published this week! Sandra is a holistic health coach, specializing in stress management, detox, and emotional healing. She shares her own holistic health journey on her blog, The Prairie Healer, where I shared about whipped coconut oil this week.
3. Good ‘Ol Magazines
I know magazines are going to the wayside, and I have to say, it makes me sad. While I do a lot of reading online (There are so many fabulous blogs out there, am I right? Hee hee.), I still love getting a magazine in the mail, flipping through the pages, and dog-earing (can I use that as a verb?) the pages of stuff I like. Some covers really get me excited (and not because Channing Tatum is on the cover with his shirt off…though that WOULD be appealing, too…). This came in the mail yesterday and I was so excited to thumb through the pages after seeing the cover…it just said, “This is for you!”.
Seriously…I want the mint filing cabinet (hmmm…might need to paint mine), and love the chalkboard background and all the cute shabby chic fonts. Country Living got my attention this week.
OK, ending there. I usually do five things, and I could probably come up with more, but honestly I’m feeling tired (like pre-illness tired), and I just don’t have it in me today! Have a great weekend!
(Side note: Not sure what’s going on with my fonts after doing some cut-and-paste, but I’m not having luck fixing it and too tired to care. Thank you for not judging me.)
