Five things that made me smile in the last week…
Disregard the bird poop. Notice the sunshine.
We have been enjoying some warmer temps and a few days of sunshine! It has been FAB-U-LOUS! Apparently someone got my message. 😉
I mean, GENIUS, right???
2. Cool Tips and New Friends
Through MOPS I have met and gotten to know so many wonderful women, and most recently I have become friends with a Facebook acquaintance because of MOPS. We were on the same home decor shopping page, and I knew pretty quickly that this girl and I could easily shop together! We have very similar (like, EXACT) home decor tastes. As we’ve gotten to know each other better through MOPS we’ve had more interactions (and now have a face for the name). Recently Jess borrowed one of my rolls of shelf liner for a furniture project (see below for more on that), and when she returned it there was a toilet paper tube around it to keep it secure. (These are the moments that I want to cower in a corner for not having though up such an idea.) So simple and yet SO AWESOME! She said, “Ugly but effective!,” and my reply was, “Nothing a little shelf liner can’t fix!”. (Ohhh, I’m such a nerd.)

3. Same Friend…Shout Out
That same genius gal that shared the toilet paper tube idea also has started a business and blog of her own. It seems that miss Crystal E started a snowball effect. She inspired and encouraged me…I spoke to MOPS about organizing…my story inspired and encouraged Jess!!! Well, Jess is now following her dream of having a refinished furniture business, and as I said, her taste is wonderful (because it’s…well…like MINE). Be sure to check out Blue Hydrangea Furniture at her blog and Facebook page!!!
4. My Sister’s New Venture!
I don’t want to forget to also give a shout out to my sissy, Lisa! She has started her business as a Thirty-One consultant (and will be keeping me stocked with totes and bags to keep me organized)! This is her first month and she’s working on some goals, so if you need anything or want to check out their awesome products (I have shared several products on my blog here, here, here, here, here, and here), go to her website here. (My mom’s having a party so if you order, we’d love it if you’d order from her party!)
5. Just Keeps Getting Better!
Yep, I’m referring to my blog…at least from my point of view. I’m continuing to get positive feedback (thank you, by the way, for your comments here and on my Facebook page!), and I find myself learning and growing as the weeks and months go by. I know I have a looooong way to go, but this has been such a pure joy and I am so thankful for you being on the journey with me!
(By the way…would love your feedback! Is it more enjoyable to read and easier to follow with the pics before or after the related info? Oh, the things I deliberate about!!)
