Seems like every year I make at least a few gifts, both to save money and because I enjoy crafting things and making something customized for the receiver. Some of the gifts my husband and I have made I can’t post yet (or those people will see their gift before they get it!), but I can share this one that will make me pause before DIYing anything again! (I say this with a smile because they did turn out cute and I will still make things that take me way too long…)
I found this project on Pinterest and it’s cute. Super cute.

I decided to make them for a couple of my daycare kids. One is 5 and still working on her letters/numbers and will be spelling and reading next year in kindergarten, and the other is 2 1/2 and starting to recognize the alphabet and numbers. And since spelling words in cute wood letters on the fridge is just as fun for adults (as this diy was originally intended), I figured it was a good-for-all-ages gift.

After painting it was time to add the magnets to the back. It was at this point, after spending two hours painting (two sets), that I started to really question my sanity. I was going to have to cut and peel HOW MANY little tiny magnets??
